REAL ESTATE NOW OWNED BY THE CITY OF PEORIA
WHEREAS, the property hereinafter described is now owned by
the City of Peori and the same having been acquired pursuant to
the Contract entered into on December 30, 1975 by and among the
City of Peoria, (hereinafter referred to as "the City")and the
Board of Education of the City of Peoria, School District No.
150 (hereinafter referred to as "the School Board"), the contract
has been approved by the City Council of the City of Peoria;
WHEREAS in the opinion of the corporate authorities and
members of the City Council of the City of Peoria, Illinois, the
foregoing mentioned real estate particularly described in "Exhibit
A" attached hereto and made a part hereof is no longer necessary,
appropriate or required for the use, profitable to or for the best
interests of the City of Peoria, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PEORIA, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the above -described real estate be sold
to the School Board for the sum of One Million Two Hundred Forty-three
Thousand and Ninety -Six & 80/100 Dollars (1,243,096.80).
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and approval according to law.

"EXHIBIT A"
TRACT I:
A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 8
North, Range 8 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, including
all of Birket's Fourth Addition to the City of Peoria, and all
of Birket's Place Extended, more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at a point, said point being the inter-
section of Southwest right-of-way line of the Abington Street
right-of-way and the Northwest right-of-way line of the N.E.
Monroe Street right-of-way, said point being the point of
beginning; thence Southwesterly to the centerline of the
vacated Mound Street right-of-way; thence Northwesterly along
said centerline to the centerline of the vacated N.E. Perry
Avenue right-of-way; thence Southwesterly along the center-
line of the vacated N.E. Perry Avenue right-of-way to the
extended Northeast right-of-way line of Hayward Street; thence
Northwesterly along the extended Northeast right-of-way line
and the extended Northeast right-of-way line of Hayward Street
to the centerline of the vacated alley lying adjacent to and
running between Lots 1 through 14 inclusive of Birket's
Place Extended and part of Lot 9 of John Birket's Subdivision;
thence Northeasterly along the centerline of said vacated alley
to the Southwest right-of-way line of the Abington Street
right-of-way; thence Southeasterly along the Southwest
Abington Street right-of-way line to the point of beginning;
said parcel in the City and County of Peoria and State of Illinois.
TRACT II
Part of Lot 4 in John Birket's Subdivision of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 34, Township 9 North, Range 8 East of the
Fourth Principal Meridian, more particularly bounded and
described as follows, to -wit: Commencing at a point on
the Southwesterly side of Abington Street, 90 feet North-
westerly from the most Northerly corner of Lot 1 in Birket
Place Extended; running thence Northwesterly along said line
of Abington Street 50 feet; thence Southwesterly parallel
with Perry Street, 84.42 feet; thence Southeasterly 50
feet to a point 84.98 feet Southwesterly from Abington Street;
thence Northeasterly 84.98 feet parallel with Perry Street
to the place of beginning;situtated in the County of Peoria
and State of Illinois.
TRACT III
Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 9
North, Range 8 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, described
as commencing at a point on the Southwesterly line of Abington
Street for a point of beginning of this tract, 290 feet distant
Northwesterly from the intersection of the Southwesterly line
of Abington Street with the Northwesterly line of Perry Avenue;
thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of Abington
Street, 40 feet; thence Southwesterly parallel with the North-
westerly line of Perry Street, 83.97 feet; thence Southeasterly

to a point 84.41 feet distant Southwesterly from the point of
beginning and in a line parallel with the aforesaid 83.97 feet
course; thence Northeasterly parallel with the said line of
Perry Avenue, 84.41 feet to the Southwest line of Abington
Street, the point of beginning, situate, lying and being in the
County of Peoria and State of Illinois.
TRACT IV
Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 9
North, Range 8 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, more
particularly bounded and described as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the intersection of the Southwesterly line of
Abington Street with the Southeasterly line of Glendale
Avenue Extended; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly
line of Glendale Avenue Extended, 83.53 feet; thence Southeasterly
parallel with the Southwesterly line of Abington Street, 40
feet; thence Northeasterly parallel with the Southeasterly
line of Glendale Avenue Extended to the Southwesterly line of
Abington Street; thence Northwesterly along said last mentioned
line to the place of beginning; situate, lying and being in
the City of Peoria, County of Peoria and State of Illinois.
